How to install or replace your wireless 4K Whole Home PVR

Bluetooth® Slim

Steps to follow: 6
  • Disconnect all cables from your existing PVR.
  • Connect your TV to the 4K Whole Home PVR using the Bell-branded HDMI cable that came with it.

Note: If your TV has multiple HDMI ports, make sure that you use one that supports 4K resolution. These may be labelled “4K” or “HDCP 2.2”. If youʼre unsure, please refer to your TVʼs user guide.
  • Connect the power cable that came with your 4K Whole Home PVR in the back, as well as the optical cable, if applicable.

If an Ethernet cable was connected to your HD PVR, connect it to your 4K PVR if you prefer a wired connection.
  • Connect the other end of the power cable to an outlet. This will turn the 4K Whole Home PVR on.

Note: It is normal for the lights on the PVR to flicker while starting up.
  • Use your TV remote to turn on your TV and select the HDMI input that matches the connection from step 2 (HDMI 1, HDMI 2 etc.).
  • Wait up to 5 minutes for the Fibe TV pairing screen to appear on your TV.

1. Disconnect all cables from your existing PVR.

If an Ethernet cable is connected to the back of your existing receiver, you may reuse this cable to set up your 4 K Whole Home PVR with a wired connection. If you prefer a wireless connection, do not connect the Ethernet cable.

After completing these steps, proceed to one of the following tutorials:

    • How to pair your 4 K Whole Home PVR to a wireless transmitter (VAP3400).
    • If you have a Home Hub 3000, continue to How to pair your 4K Whole Home PVR to a Home Hub 3000.
    • If you have a Home Hub 4000, continue to How to pair your 4K Whole Home PVR to a Home Hub 4000.

Tip: Check the instructions in your self-install kit(if applicable) to find out which equipment you need to pair your receiver with.

If youʼre not able to set up the device after following these steps, please contact us.
