How to set up and use my ZTE MF275R Turbo Hub

Setting up the Turbo Hub

  1. Unpack the Turbo Hub from the box, remove the cover and install the battery.
  2. Note the Wireless Network Name (SSID) and Wireless Security Key (password) on the label located near the battery.
  3. Replace the cover.
  4. Insert the SIM card into the side SIM slot.
  5. Connect the power adapter and power on the Turbo Hub.
  6. Connect your smartphone or computer using the Wi-Fi settings or, if applicable, the Ethernet LAN cable.

Locating the Wi-Fi settings

The Wireless Network Name (SSID) and Wireless Security Key (password) are located under the Turbo Hub, near the battery. To access them, remove the cover and look for a label like the one below.

Configuring the Turbo Hub

The Turbo Hub is ready to use with its default settings. If you prefer, you can customize additional settings after connecting to the Turbo Hub.

To do so, open a Web browser and go to http://setup.zte (or http://192.168.0.1). The default password is admin

Updating software

Note: Software updates are performed wirelessly and will count towards your monthly data usage.

  1. Open a Web browser and go to http://setup.zte
  2. Select Settings from the top menu bar.
  3. Select Device Settings from the left menu bar.
  4. Select Update Management.
  5. Select Check under Check New Version and follow the on-screen instructions.

Changing the APN

Most customers will use the default Access Point Name (APN) installed on the device. However, you can update the APN if necessary to use a static IP or other custom services.

Important note: You cannot change the APN while the Turbo Hub is connected to the cellular network. You must disconnect before attempting to change the APN settings (see step 2, below).

  1. Open a Web browser and go to http://setup.zte
  2. From the Home screen, select Disconnect.
  3. Select Settings from the top menu bar.
  4. Select APN under Network Settings on the left menu.
  5. Select Manual.
  6. You can choose a Profile from the drop down menu and then select Apply.

  8. You can add a new profile by selecting Add New and entering the APN and profile name. Select Apply when you’re done.
  9. Select Set as Default once you’ve entered the APN information.
  10. Select Home from the main menu, and then select Connect.

Configuring port forwarding

Port forwarding maybe required to use some applications.

  1. Open a Web browser and go to http://setup.zte
  2. Select Settings from the top menu bar.
  3. Select Firewall from the left menu bar.
  4. Select Port Forwarding.
  5. Follow the on-screen settings to enable and configure Port Forwarding.
