Bell makes sure you get software updates from your device manufacturer, so you have the latest security and performance improvements.
In your device settings, you can see the software version you’re running, check for updates and set up automatic updates (if available).
Before you update
It can take some time to install updates, so make sure your device is:
- Charged or plugged in
- Connected to Wi-Fi

To check your software version:
- Swipe up to view Apps.
- Touch Settings.
- Scroll to and touch About phone.
- The software version is displayed under Android version.
To update your software:
- Swipe up to view Apps.
- Touch Settings.
- Scroll to and touch System.
- Touch System update.
- Touch Check for update.
- If an update is available, wait for it to download.
