If your Alcatel smartphone becomes unresponsive or doesn't perform as expected, you can perform a hard reset to return it to the factory default state.
- Before resetting your phone, turn it off and then on again. This may fix some issues. If your phone wonʼt turn off, follow the steps below.
- Press and hold the Volume up and Power buttons until the Android startup appears on the screen.
- Scroll to wipe data/factory reset by pressing the Volume down button.
- Press the Power button.
- Scroll to Yes by pressing the Volume down button
- Press the Power button.
- The phone will now wipe all contents.
- Press the Power button.
- The phone will now reboot to the initial setup screen.

- Scroll to and touch System.
- Touch About phone.
- Touch Status.
- Touch SIM status.
- The phone number is displayed.
Follow these steps to insert a SIM card into your Alcatel smartphone. You can also insert a memory card (microSD card) for additional storage space.
- Using your thumb or finger, lift up the back cover using the small notch at the bottom-left of the phone.
- With the metal contacts facing down, line up the SIM card with the SIM card slot.
- Push the SIM card into the SIM card slot.
- With the metal contacts facing down, line up the memory card with the memory card slot.
- Push the Memory card into the memory card slot.
- Line up the back cover with the phone and press gently until it clicks into place.
