Internet connection issues – getting back online
Even with a highly reliable network, occasional disruptions can occur. Explore the following guides to maintain a connection or quickly restore service when unexpected issues arise.
Most smartphones have a built-in feature that lets you share your mobile data connection by creating a Wi-Fi hotspot. Nearby devices simply connect to your Wi-Fi hotspot for Internet access.
How to use your smartphone as a Wi-Fi hotspot
Mobile data charges may apply. Bell Mobility and Internet customers with both services on a consolidated bill, in Ontario and Québec, will receive 50 GB of complimentary mobile data to help keep connected during Internet connection issues, official Internet outages or even a planned move.

During an Internet service interruption, your home modem can use a Bell Mobility connection to keep the whole household connected until Internet service is restored. 50 GB of complimentary mobile data is provided.
Our Virtual repair tool can detect and fix most issues with Fibe Internet, Fibe TV, Fibe TV app and Home phone services. It can also help book a technician visit, if necessary.

Power failures – preventing service interruptions
During power failures, external power supplies can keep your equipment running to help you stay connected.
Available in Manitoba, Ontario, Québec and the Atlantic provinces (New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island).
An external battery backup, such as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), portable power supply or generator, can provide power to your modem when your regular power source fails. This helps you stay connected to the Internet and use your Wi-Fi at the speeds and service level you’re used to.
