Bell MTS Home Phone Call Answer upgrade

Starting March 4, we’re upgrading our voicemail system to enhance security and introduce new features and functionality.

Once the upgrade is complete, you’ll have access to enhanced features through the Voicemail manager tool. This includes a voicemail to email feature that will send your voicemail messages straight to your email inbox as an attached audio file.

All of your voicemail settings – such as greetings, passwords and saved messages – will be maintained.

No. The outcall notification to a telephone number feature will be withdrawn once the upgrade is completed. It will be replaced by Voicemail to email or text message notification (to Bell Mobility numbers only). You can easily turn on these features on the new Voicemail Manager portal once you’re upgraded.

No. Your callers will be connected to either the old or the new system, depending on when they call. Before the move is complete, the system will check to ensure that the number of messages on the old platform matches the number of messages on the new platform.

After the upgrade, you’ll be able to access the following features using the Voicemail manager tool:

  • Listen to and delete messages
  • Reset and change your voicemail password
  • Enable voicemail to email notification
  • Enable text message notification
  • Change guest and voicemail language
  • Manage group distribution lists

You’ll receive a voicemail message in your mailbox to notify you once your voicemail service is upgraded and you can then access and start using the new portal.

Once you've been upgraded, please visit bellmts.ca/vm to access Voicemail manager. You'll receive a voicemail from us to confirm that your account is active on the new portal. Use your 10-digit mailbox (telephone) number and password to log in. You'll be prompted to create a new password for future visits.

Once you’ve been upgraded, your login credentials will no longer be valid on the MyMessages portal. Instead, you’ll be able to access your settings on the new Voicemail manager portal at bellmts.ca/vm.

Once you've been upgraded, you'll be able to turn on voicemail to email notification in the Voicemail manager tool at bellmts.ca/vm. This will let you listen to a voicemail message as an audio attachment sent to your email inbox.

Once you've been upgraded, you'll be able to turn on text message notification in the Voicemail manager portal at bellmts.ca/vm. This feature sends you a text to let you know whenever you get a new voicemail.
