Managing mobile internet device data usage

With Mobile Internet service from Bell, you can access the Bell Mobility network for Internet access at home or on the go.

Service is available through Mobile Internet devices including Turbo Hubs, Turbo Sticks and MiFi devices. It does not apply to hotspot/tethering on a smartphone or tablet.

If you exceed the data usage in your plan, additional data usage fees will apply.

To help you control your costs, your Mobile Internet data will be blocked if you reach $50 in additional charges. A pop-up notification will appear in the web browser of your connected device (e.g., laptop, tablet). To continue your usage, simply accept the charges in the pop-up notification. Otherwise, the data block will be lifted automatically at the beginning of your next billing cycle.

Tips for limiting usage and avoiding excess charges:

  • Close your web browser, and other programs or apps that access the Internet, when not in use.
  • Password-protect your Wi-Fi network (if applicable) to prevent unauthorized use.
  • Upgrade your rate plan to increase your data allowance.
