How to Reboot the Home Hub modem

Learn how to reboot your Bell modem in the MyBell app or on your computer as a troubleshooting step. You can reboot the Home Hub 2000, 3000, 4000 and Giga Hub directly from the modem.

Using the power cable
  1. Remove the power cable from the wall outlet or power supply on the modem.
  2. Wait 30 seconds and reconnect the power cable.

    The lights on the front will blink as the modem goes through its start-up routine.

  3. Wait for the lights to finish cycling:
    • Home Hub 4000, Giga Hub, and 3000: The reboot is completed once the front lights on the modem are solid white.
    • Home Hub 2000: The reboot is completed once the WAN and INTERNET lights are solid or flashing blue.

Alternate method

Home Hub 4000/Giga Hub:
  1. Press the power ring on the front of the modem.
  2. Select Yes on the modem information screen and press the OK button to confirm.
  3. The modem reboot is completed once the front lights on the modem are solid white.
Home Hub 3000:
  1. Press and hold the reset button on the side of the modem for five seconds.
  2. The modem reboot is completed once all three LED lights are white and the message, “Fibe Internet: Connected” is displayed.

Step by step instructions

  1. Launch the MyBell app. Log in if prompted.
  2. Touch Support along the bottom of your device.
  3. Touch Internet.
  4. Scroll down and touch Reboot your modem.
  5. Touch Select & Continue once you have confirmed the modem to reboot.
  6. Review the information and touch Reboot now to begin.
  7. The modem reboot is completed once the front lights on the modem are solid white.
Reboot using MyBell on a computer
  1. Log in to MyBell.
  2. Click My services and select Internet from the drop-down menu.
  3. In the Wi-Fi section, click Reboot your modem.
    • While the modem is rebooting, Fibe TV and Home phone (FTTH) services will also be unavailable.
  4. Wait until the lights on the front of the modem are solid white.
