How to Watch FIFA World Cup 2026 in HDR on Fibe TV | Bell Support
During the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Fibe TV will offer select matches in HDR (High Dynamic Range) and Dolby Vision on the TSN 4K and RDS 4K channels, ensuring the highest video quality available. These channels are specifically created for the tournament to deliver richer colours and enhanced detail compared to SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) feeds.
HDR is auto detected when your device and TV support it, and the content is offered in HDR. No manual switching is required in most cases.
Where to watch FIFA in HDR
During the tournament, simply tune in to TSN 4K or RDS 4K on Fibe TV. If your device isn’t compatible, you’ll see an error message directing you to watch in standard definition on TSN 4/TSN 2 (or RDS 1/RDS 2 in French).

Troubleshooting and FAQs
Why is my TV's picture quality still not in HDR?
If you aren't seeing higher-quality picture, check the following:
- TV HDMI settings: Some TVs need HDR turned on for each HDMI port. Reach out to the manufacturer for help.
- Check equipment compatibility: All equipment in the setup (e.g., TV, receiver/streaming device, soundbar, other devices) must support HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2.
- Software update: Make sure your TV’s software is up to date. Reach out to the manufacturer for help.
- Check if the channel is in HDR/Dolby Vision: Only certain channels have HDR/Dolby Vision. Check for HDR or Dolby Vision badges in Fibe TV, or see the channel charts above.
- Try a different cable: Make sure your HDMI cable is Premium High Speed or higher.
- Power on/off your equipment: Restart your equipment (TV, receiver/streaming device, soundbar, etc.) to see if that resolves the issue.
- TV picture mode: Make sure your TV’s picture mode is not set to “Vivid,” as this can cause inaccurate HDR colours and brightness.
If you see an error message
If your device isn’t compatible, you may see this error message: “Oops! This receiver is not compatible with HDR Technology. Watch in HD on TSN 4 or TSN 2. Or watch in HDR on the Fibe TV app with a compatible Smart TV or streaming device.”
Please ensure you have a compatible device (see compatibility details above) or contact us for help.
What is HDR (and Dolby Vision)?
HDR (High Dynamic Range) boosts picture quality by delivering movies and shows with brighter colours and more detail. Dolby Vision is a premium HDR format that optimizes brightness and colour scene by scene (or frame by frame) for even more consistent visual quality.
If your TV and device support it, HDR and Dolby Vision can make movies, shows and live sports look more realistic and punchier – especially in bright highlights and shadow detail.
Why do some programs look different in HDR?
Creative intent varies; HDR masterings can emphasize highlights/shadows differently across titles. TV picture mode and room lighting also affect perceived contrast.
Does HDR work when casting or using AirPlay?
No, HDR is not currently supported when casting (AirPlay, Chromecast).
