Remove the old batteries. Wait ten seconds, then install four new batteries. To avoid a low battery signal, install the four new batteries in less than 15 seconds. The low battery indicator should turn off once you replace the cover. CAUTION: Improper use of the batteries in this device may cause a fire or chemical burns. Do not recharge, disassemble, heat to more than 100 °C (212 °F) or dispose of them in a fire. Use only Panasonic CR123A lithium batteries. The use of other batteries may cause a fire or explosion. Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Dispose of batteries properly. |

The detector is powered by one (1) AA lithium battery. When the system indicates that the sensor has a low battery, replace it immediately. Observe the polarity when installing the new battery, otherwise the sensor may be damaged. When looking at the battery compartment, note that the positive battery end on the left side faces down, while the positive battery end on the right faces up. When the battery is replaced, wait at least three (3) minutes before activating the walk test mode.
Caution: Replace only with one new AA lithium battery. Observe proper polarity when installing the new battery. Installing the battery backwards may cause damage to the sensor. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions of the manufacturer and/or local authorities. |

Because keyfobs are non-supervised devices, a low battery signal will only be received by the control panel when the device is within range of the receiver and a button is pressed (if the device is not in use, no low battery signal will be sent until a button is pressed). When the device is carried beyond the range of the receiver and/or is seldom used/tested, the battery could wholly deplete without a warning of the battery condition being sent to the panel. If the LED on the device appears dim or does not turn on when a button is pressed, it is a warning that the battery may be low or depleted and should be replaced. To ensure proper functionality, test the device weekly and follow these simple steps to replace the battery when necessary:

Under normal conditions the battery can last up to 2 years. If the battery is low, the trouble notification will be indicated on the control panel’s screen. When a sensor‘s batteries are low, the panel will display a low battery alert for the sensor.
To replace the sensor batteries, slide the front of the sensor up off the sensor-back. (No need to remove or un-mount entire sensor-back and mounting arm.) To maximize battery life, replace the sensor batteries with 2 AA 1.5v Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. Dispose of used batteries according to the battery manufacturer instructions and following local regulations. |

If a sensor battery is low, a low battery notification will be indicated on the control panel screen. When the 2GIG system indicates that the sensor has a low battery, replace the battery immediately. Use only the recommended replacement batteries: 2 Panasonic Lithium CR2032 or their equivalent.
