If you see the number 890 at the top right corner of the error message on your TV (see diagram), it means that your television or something installed between your TV and receiver (like a home theatre amplifier) does not support High Bandwidth Digital Copy Protection (HDCP).
HDCP is a copy protection system designed to eliminate the copying of data between a video source and a television through HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) and DVI (Digital Visual Interface) cables. You'll encounter error 890 if any of the devices, such as a television or home theatre amplifier, accessing content are not HDCP compliant.

If you encounter this situation, you can still access the programming you're trying to view by connecting your devices using component cables (instead of HDMI or DVI cables). Remember, because you changed to component cables (these cables are red, green and blue), you'll have to change the input on your television to reflect the new input.
If the problem persists, please contact us for further assistance. Please let the representative know if you've already tried to view the programming after connecting through component cables.
