Learn what to do if you can’t make or receive calls on your smartphone.
- Are you able to send text messages?
To confirm, try sending a message to yourself or a different phone number from the one you’re having trouble with.
Ensure you enter only the 10-digit area code and phone number in the To field.
If you received it, the issue may be related to the recipient of your message.
- Are you able to receive text messages?
To confirm, ask a friend (other than the one you’re having trouble receiving messages from) to send you a text message. You can also send a text message to yourself from txt.bell.ca.
If you received the message, the issue may be related to the sender of the message.
- Remove and reinsert the battery and test again.
If these steps haven’t solved the problem, please contact us for assistance. We will need four examples, within the last 48 hours, from two different numbers including the date, time, number dialled and the other users’ carriers.
