Bell Home phone voicemail upgrade

Starting November 2023, we’re upgrading our voicemail system to improve performance, enhance security and introduce new features and functionalities.


Once the upgrade is complete, you’ll have access to different features through the Voicemail manager tool in MyBell. This includes voicemail to email feature that will send your voicemail messages straight to your email inbox as an attached audio file.


Will my Home phone Call Answer service be affected?

All your Call Answer voicemail settings – such as greetings, passwords and saved messages – will be maintained.


Will I miss any voicemail messages during the upgrade?

Upgrading your voice mailbox will take milliseconds and will only be completed when it’s not in use. All your settings, greetings and messages will be moved over seamlessly.


Will there be any impacts to my billing?

There will be no impacts to your billing as a result of the upgrade. This is only an upgrade to the existing voicemail system.


What features will be available?

After the upgrade, the Voicemail manager tool in MyBell will let you:

  • Listen to and delete messages
  • Reset and change your voicemail password
  • Enable voicemail to email
  • Enable text message notification
  • Manage group distribution lists

How do I access Voicemail manager?

Starting on the date noted in the communication we sent you, follow these steps to access Voicemail manager:

  1. Log in to MyBell.

    Note: if you‘re not registered for MyBell, you’ll need to do so. Register now

  2. After logging in, go to the Home phone service page, and select Access Voicemail manager.

    Note: Voicemail manager won’t appear until your voicemail is on the new system.

How do I get voicemail messages by email?

Once the upgrade is complete and this feature is available, you’ll be able to turn on voicemail to email in Voicemail manager. This will let you listen to a voicemail message as an audio attachment sent to your email inbox.

How do I get text message notifications?

Once the upgrade is complete and the feature is available, you’ll be able to turn on text message notification. This feature sends you a text to let you know whenever you get a new voicemail.
