You can set priorities so your Bell Satellite TV receiver knows how to resolve scheduling conflicts.
You can set timers to record once, weekly or daily. In addition, NBR allows you to:
- Record a show every time it plays on a particular channel. Select All Episodes when you program your PVR.
- Record only the shows for the current season when you select New Episodes. This lets you to save precious space on your PVR.

Setting up a name based recording
To set up a name based recording, you use the Vu Pass timer to search for a program title or keyword. The receiver automatically sets up timers to record programs in the EPG matching your search.
To access Vu Pass:
- Press the PVR button twice on your
- remote control,
- Select Vu Pass.
- Use the following selections to refine your search:
- Title - Search for programs by title.
- Info - Search for programs whose descriptions and titles contain keywords.
- Exact Match - Select this option if you know the exact title of the program.
Tip: This feature can produce several unexpected results if you use generic terms. Searching for “Lost” can give you “Lost”, “Lost in Space”, “Lost Boys”, etc. Use “Exact Match” if your PVR returns several results.

Settling scheduling conflicts
Receiver models 5200, 9200, 9241 and 9242 are dual tuner receivers that can record two programs at the same time. If you schedule three or more programs to be recorded at the same time, a scheduling conflict will arise.
To resolve scheduling conflicts:
- You can manually set the priorities when creating the timer. Otherwise the receiver will set the priorities by order of programs entered.
- You can change the priorities at any time.
- The larger the number the lower the priority (i.e., number 3 on the list is lower priority than number 1).
- You can override a specific timer's priority with a one-time skip or by restoring it.
- By selecting a timer in the daily schedule you will have the option to skip or restore as applicable for that timer.
