What is Bell Satellite TV On Demand?
The Bell Satellite TV On Demand service lets you stream movies, TV shows and other content to your TV in real time, whenever you want.
The service is available to Bell Satellite TV customers with a 9241 or 9400 series PVRs (check the front of your receiver) that is connected to high-speed Internet
(2.0 Mbps download speed or faster). Learn more about how to connect your receiver to the Internet.
Customers with a 9242 PVR will be able to access a selection of new blockbuster movies on demand by tuning to channels 1001 (English) and 1799 (French) in the guide.
Do I need to pay for On Demand content?
There are two types of On Demand content.Included in your Bell TV subscription:
Many channels make their programming available on demand. If you are subscribed to such a channel in your programming line-up, then you can watch its on demand offerings at no extra charge. For example, if you are a TMN subscriber, you will have access to TMN On Demand.One-time rentals and special events:
For some On Demand content, such as movie rentals, you will be charged a one-time fee. This content will be available for viewing for 24 to 48 hours
after you’ve ordered it.
How will the On Demand service affect my Internet usage?
Using the Bell Satellite TV On Demand service will count towards monthly Internet usage. Exceeding the usage limit of your Internet plan may result in additional
Managing Internet usage
To help you manage your Internet usage while viewing On Demand content, you can change the video quality settings.
- Good quality – Usage will not exceed 1.7 GB/hour
- Better quality – Usage will not exceed 2.5 GB/hour
- Best quality – Usage will not exceed 4 GB/hour
To set your video quality settings:
- Press the Movies or iTV button on your remote to launch the On Demand service.
- Scroll down to the Settings option.
- Select the Video quality tab.
- Select the video quality you prefer.
