Resetting to factory defaults

To reset your receiver to the factory default settings:

  2. Select System Setup.
  3. Select Factory Defaults.
  4. A pop-up message will appear to confirm that you want to reset your receiver to the factory default settings.
  5. Select Yes.

Resetting to the factory defaults will not affect:

  • Timers and recorded content
  • The following Favourites Lists: All Chan, All Sub, and All HD (for HD & HD PVR receivers)
  • System Lock (Note: ratings, channel, adult content and Pay-per-view locks will be lost unless a system lock has been set. See section on Locks and resetting to factory defaults below)
  • Remote control address settings

Locks and resetting to factory defaults

There are a number of locks you can place on your receiver to control the channels available to users. These include ratings, channel, adult content and Pay-per-view locks.

To protect any locks you’ve set up, you’ll need to also lock your system with a 4-digit password. If you perform a factory default reset without a System Lock, all other lock settings will be lost.

To lock your system:

  1. Press MENU on your remote control.
  2. Select Locks.
  3. Select Lock System.
  4. Enter a 4-digit password and select OK.

Note: If you’ve locked your system and can’t remember your password, please contact customer service.
