Learning about and managing my Samsung Galaxy Tablet

If your Samsung tablet becomes unresponsive or doesn't perform as expected, you can perform a hard reset to return it to the factory default state.

1. Before resetting your tablet, turn it off and then on again. This may fix some issues. If your tablet wonʼt turn off, follow the steps below.
2. Press and hold the Volume up, Home and Power buttons until the Samsung logo appears on the screen.
3. Scroll to wipe data/factory reset by pressing the Volume down button.
4. Press the Power button.
5. Scroll to Yes by pressing the Volume down button
6. Press the Power button.
7. The tablet will now wipe all contents.
8. Press the Power button.
9. The tablet will now reboot to the initial setup screen.

Please note that all of your data, downloaded apps and settings will be erased during the reset. Ensure that any photos, music, documents or other data that you wish to keep is backed up somewhere else, other than on the device itself.

You can see how much memory has been used, and how much is available, on your Samsung tablet.

3. Scroll to and touch Storage.
4. The storage details are displayed.

Find the phone number of the SIM card in your Samsung tablet.

1. Touch Apps.
2. Touch Settings.
3. Scroll to and touch About device.
4. Touch Status.
5. The phone number is displayed.

Follow these steps to insert a SIM card into your Samsung tablet. You can also insert a memory card (microSD card) for additional storage space.

1. Using your thumb or finger, gently open the flap to reveal the SIM card slot.
2. Insert the SIM card with the metal contacts facing down. Slide it into the SIM card slot.
3. Gently close the flap.
