How to change the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) on my Novatel Wireless MiFi 7000

Enter the Admin password and click Sign In.
The default Admin password is the same as the default Wi-Fi password and can be found by selecting Wi-Fi Name/Password on the Novatel Wireless MiFi 7000.

In the Wi-Fi Name (SSID) field, the current name is displayed.

To change the Wi-Fi network name, delete the current name and enter a new one.

  1. On your computer, connect to the Novatel Wireless MiFi 7000 via Wi-Fi, and then go to http://my.mifi using a web browser.
  2. Click SIGN IN.
  3. Enter the Admin password and click Sign In.
    The default Admin password is the same as the default Wi-Fi password and can be found by selecting Wi-Fi Name/Password on the Novatel Wireless MiFi 7000.
  4. Click SETTINGS.
  5. In the Wi-Fi Name (SSID) field, the current name is displayed.
  6. To change the Wi-Fi network name, delete the current name and enter a new one.
  7. Click Save Changes.
  8. Click Confirm.
