If your LG smartphone becomes unresponsive or doesnʼt perform as expected, you can perform a hard reset to return it to the factory default state.
- Before resetting your phone, turn it off and then on again. This may solve the problem. If your phone doesnʼt turn on, follow these steps to perform a hard reset.
- Press and hold the Volume down and Power buttons until the LG logo appears on the screen.
- Keeping the Volume down button held down, release the Power button then immediately press and hold it again.
- Release the Volume down and Power buttons when the "Factory data reset" screen appears.
- Scroll to Yes by pressing the Volume down button.
- Press the Power button.
- Scroll to Yes by pressing the Volume down button.
- Press the Power button.
- The phone will reset and reboot to the initial setup screen.
Warning: all of your data, downloaded apps and settings will be erased during the reset.
- Touch Settings.
- Touch System. Note: make sure Settings is in list view by touching the menu icon (3 dots), then List View.
- Scroll to and touch Storage.
- The space used and the available space are displayed.
- Touch Settings.

- Scroll to and touch About phone.
- Scroll to and touch Status.
- Scroll to My phone number, your phone number is displayed.
- Locate the SIM card slot on your device
- Insert the SIM removal tool (included in the box the phone came in) and push to eject the SIM/memory card tray.
- Remove the SIM/memory card tray.
- Insert the memory card and SIM card into the SIM/memory card tray.
- Re-insert the SIM/memory card tray and push until it clicks into place.
