Learning about and managing my Huawei tablet

If your Huawei tablette becomes unresponsive or doesn't perform as expected, you can perform a hard reset to return it to the factory default state.
  1. Before resetting your tablet, turn it off and then on again. This may fix some issues. If your tablet wonʼt turn off, follow the steps below.
  2. Press and hold the Volume up and Power buttons until the Android startup appears on the screen.
  3. Scroll to wipe data/factory reset by pressing the Volume down button.
  4. Press the Power button.
  5. Scroll to Yes by pressing the Volume down button
  6. Press the Power button.
  7. The tablet will now wipe all contents.
  8. Press the Power button.
  9. The tablet will now reboot to the initial setup screen.
Please note that all of your data, downloaded apps and settings will be erased during the reset. Ensure that any photos, music, documents or other data that you wish to keep is backed up somewhere else, other than on the device itself.
You can see how much memory has been used, and how much is available, on your Huawei tablet.

  2. Touch Memory & storage. The available memory is displayed. To view more information, touch Memory.
  3. The storage details are displayed.
Find the phone number of the SIM card in your Huawei tablet.
  1. Touch Settings.
  2. Scroll to and touch About tablet.
  3. Scroll to and touch Status.
  4. Scroll to MDN to view the phone number.
Follow these steps to insert a SIM card into your Huawei tablet. You can also insert a memory card (microSD card) for additional storage space.
  1. Insert the SIM removal tool (included in the box the tablet came in) and push to eject the SIM card tray.
  2. With the metal contacts facing down, line up the memory card with the memory card slot.
  3. Gently push the memory card until it clicks into place.
  4. With the metal contacts facing down, line up the SIM card with the SIM card slot.
  5. Gently push the SIM card until it clicks into place.
  6. Line up the SIM/memory card door on the tablet and gently press until it clicks into place.
