McAfee® Security from Bell includes an anti-spam filter that you can use if you have email accounts with service providers other than Bell. The filter screens your email for junk mail and phishing messages, and can be used with both email software and webmail.
To set it up, follow the appropriate instructions below. If you access the same email account using both email software and webmail, follow both sets of instructions.
Note:
- Your Bell Mail account includes its own junk mail and spam filters. The McAfee Security anti-spam filter will not work with it. Learn how to set up the junk mail filter in Bell Mail.
- If your email account requires an encrypted connection (SSL), the McAfee Security anti-spam filter will not work. If you don’t know whether your email connection is encrypted, check with your service provider.
