How to set up Bell Mail in Outlook 2016

Steps to follow: 31
  • In Outlook 2016 click File.
  • Click Add Account.
  • Click Your Name.
  • Enter your name.
  • Click E-mail Address and enter your email address.
  • Click Password and enter your Bell email password.
  • Re-enter your Bell email password.
  • Select Manual setup or additional server types.
  • Click Next.
  • Click POP or IMAP.
  • Click Next.
  • Click Account Type.
  • Select IMAP.
  • Enter imap.bell.net as the incoming mail server.
  • Enter smtphm.sympatico.ca as the outgoing mail server (SMTP).
  • Enter your Bell email address as the user name.
  • For the password, enter your Bell email password.
  • Click More Settings…
  • Click Outgoing Server.
  • Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
  • Click Advanced.
  • Under Incoming server (IMAP), click Use the following type of encrypted connection.
  • Select SSL.
  • Under Outgoing server (SMTP), click Use the following type of encrypted connection.
  • Select TLS.
  • Under Server Timeouts, move the slider to 10 minutes.
  • Click OK.
  • Click Next.
  • Wait while the information is verified.
  • Click Close.
  • The email account has been added. Click Finish.
