How to set up Bell Mail in Mozilla Thunderbird

Steps to follow: 18
1. In Mozilla Thunderbird click Email.
2. Click Skip this and use my existing email.
3. Enter your name.
4. Click Email address and enter your email address.
5. Click Password and enter your Bell email password.
6. Click Continue.
7. If Thunderbird recognizes your email address, it will be added automatically.
If not, continue to set up your email manually.

8. Click Manual config.
9. Ensure IMAP is selected.
10. Under Server hostname, ensure imap.bell.net is set as the incoming mail server.
11. Ensure smtphm.sympatico.ca is set as the SMTP server.
12. Ensure your Bell email address is set as the incoming user name.
13. Under SSL, ensure SSL/TLS is selected.
14. Ensure STARTTLS is selected.
15. Under Authentication, ensure Normal password is selected.
16. Ensure your Bell email address is set as the outgoing user name.
17. Click Done.
18. Your Bell email has been added.
