When operating on battery power, the Home Hub 3000 will optimize power consumption by only powering the essential components used to provide you with your Internet and/or Home phone service.
During an outage, you will continue to be able to browse the Internet on mobile devices such as laptops, mobile phones and tablets.
If you are on the FTTH (Fibre to the Home) network and subscribe to Home phone service, your service is provided through the Home Hub 3000 modem. If this is the case, your phone service will only be available for as long as the battery has a charge.
If the battery charge runs out, your phone service will no longer be available until the power is restored. As a result, 9-1-1 emergency services will be unavailable.
To optimize the battery backup time for your Home phone service, you can create a custom power management profile that turns off Internet backup.
