What do I need to know about Netflix on Bell TV?

You can access Netflix on Fibe TV or Satellite TV receivers without any additional equipment:

  • Fibe TV Box (VIP 7802)
  • Bell Streamer
  • 4K Whole Home PVR (VIP 5662)
  • 9500 Whole Home PVR (Satellite)


Fibe TV:

There are two ways for you to access the Netflix app:

Option 1
  1. Press APPS or INTERACTIVE TV on your remote to bring up the App Launcher.
  2. Scroll to the right until you see the Netflix icon and press Select or OK to launch the app.
Option 2
  • Go to channel 311 or 1311 and press Select or OK to launch the Netflix app.
Satellite TV:

There are two ways for you to access the Netflix app:

Option 1
  1. Press the Apps button on the remote of your 9500 receiver to bring up the Apps menu.
  2. Scroll up until you see Netflix and press Select to launch the app.
Option 2
  • Go to channel 1267 and press Select to launch the Netflix app.

How do I sign up for Netflix?

If you are new to Netflix, you can create a Netflix account directly on your TV screen when you launch the Netflix app, or you can visit netflix.com/fibe. Once subscribed, you can log in to the Netflix app using that email address and password.

If you are an existing Netflix customer, you will be able to access the Netflix app using your current login.

How much does Netflix cost?

You only pay the monthly subscription fee to Netflix. Bell does not charge additional fees to access Netflix.

Important: Please note that the use of apps on Bell TV counts towards your Bell Internet usage.
Estimate and manage your monthly usage.

To exit without signing out of your Netflix account:

  1. Press the BACK button on your Bell TV remote.
  2. Navigate to Exit Netflix and press Select or OK.
  3. You’ll go back to the channel you were previously watching and will stay logged in to your Netflix account.

To exit and sign out of Netflix:

  1. Press the BACK button on your Bell TV remote.
  2. Select the gear icon.
  3. Navigate to Sign Out and press Select or OK.

You’ll go back to the channel you were previously watching. If you sign out, you’ll need to log in again the next time you use the Netflix app.

How can I manage my Internet usage when using Netflix on Fibe TV?

When using Netflix, video quality directly affects data usage. Standard definition (SD) uses about 1 GB per hour; high definition (HD) uses about 3 GB per hour.

Adjusting the data usage settings within your Netflix account is the easiest way to control the amount of data used while watching Netflix. To change your data usage, log in to Netflix at netflix.com and select Playback Settings. Playback settings will apply to all devices you use to access your Netflix content.

How do I set my language preferences for Netflix on Bell TV?


Fibe TV:

Language preferences on the Netflix app are separate from those you set on Fibe TV. To change your Netflix language preferences, log in at netflix.com and select Language. Once you log back in to Netflix on Fibe TV, your selected language preference will appear.

Satellite TV:

The Netflix app uses the same language you set on your Satellite TV receiver. To change the language of your receiver, follow the instructions below.

  1. Press MENU.
  2. Select Setting.
  3. Select Installation.
  4. Select Language Setup.
Fibe TV:

To select subtitles or an audio track in a different language, press the down arrow on your Fibe TV remote while watching a Netflix title. Then, select Audio and Subtitles and press Select or OK. From this menu, you can select and save your preference.

Satellite TV:

To select subtitles or an audio track in a different language, press the up arrow twice, then select Audio and Subtitles and press Select.
