How to use The Weather Network app on Fibe TV

You can access The Weather Network app directly on your Fibe TV receiver without any additional equipment.

  1. Press APPS or INTERACTIVE TV on your remote to bring up the App Launcher.
  2. Scroll to the Weather Network icon and press SELECT or OK to launch the app.
  3. Your current channel will be tuned to The Weather Network channel and the app will appear on top.
  1. Tune to The Weather Network channel: 
    • Channel 1505 (HD English)
    • Channel 1105 (HD French)
    • Channel 505 (SD English)
    • Channel 105 (SD French)
  2. When the pop-up appears at the top right of the screen (after 5 or 6 seconds), press Select on your remote to launch the app.

Hold down the Back/Exit button on your remote.

Option 2

  1. Press the left arrow on your remote to open the in-app menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Exit.

Each section of The Weather Network app consumes a different amount of Internet data. You can reduce your Internet usage by limiting the amount of time you spend using the following sections that consume more data:

  • Videos
  • Photos
  • Maps

The language preference on The Weather Network app is separate from the one you set on your Fibe TV receiver.

To change your preferred language:

  1. Launch the app.
  2. Press the left arrow on your remote to open the in-app menu.
  3. Scroll to and select Settings.

  4. Scroll to Language. Press the right arrow, then scroll to and select your preferred language.

  1. Launch the app.
  2. Press the left arrow on your remote to open the in-app menu.
  3. Scroll to and select Search.

  4. Start typing the desired location. Suggested search results will appear.

  5. Scroll to and select the desired search result.

  6. The weather page for the location will appear, indicating the search result has been saved. A maximum of 10 locations can be saved.

You can set one of your saved locations as your default location.

  1. Launch the app.
  2. Press the left arrow on your remote to open the in-app menu.
  3. Scroll to and select Search.

  4. Scroll to Saved Locations. The default location is the left-most one.

  5. Scroll to the location you want to set as your default location. Three icons will appear: left arrow, X and right arrow.

  6. Press the up arrow on your remote to highlight the X icon.
  7. Press the left arrow on your remote to highlight the left arrow icon and press SELECT. This will move the location one slot to the left.
  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until the location is in the default (left-most) slot.
