How to install my Fibe TV equipment

Installing your Fibe TV equipment

We ship our newest Fibe TV Box with easy-to-follow instructions inside the package that show you how to complete the installation yourself.

Before you start, verify the model (VIP number) which is located on either the front or the bottom of the receiver.

What do I need to get started?

To start with your installation, you need the following equipment:

  • A Fibe TV Box, 4K Whole home PVR and/or a wireless HD receiver
  • Remote control(s)

Important reminder: Parental locks and controls are not transferred to the new receiver upon replacement and should be added if required.

To start enjoying your Fibe TV service with your 4K Whole Home PVR, you need to install, pair and register your equipment.

The steps to follow are different depending on the Internet modem you have.

My modem is a Home Hub 4000/Giga Hub

The Home Hub 4000/Giga Hub has a built-in transmitter that allows it to connect wirelessly to the 4K Whole Home PVR. Click on each link to get step-by-step instructions for each task.

  1. First, install your 4K Whole Home PVR.
  2. Once the PVR is installed, pair your 4K Whole Home PVR with your Home Hub 4000/Giga Hub .
  3. To finish, register your 4K Whole Home PVR wirelessly.

My modem is a Home Hub 3000

The Home Hub 3000 has a built-in transmitter that allows it to connect wirelessly to the 4K Whole Home PVR. Click on each link to get step-by-step instructions for each task.

  1. First, install your 4K Whole Home PVR.
  2. Once the PVR is installed, pair your 4 K Whole Home PVR with your Home Hub 3000 .
  3. To finish, register your 4K Whole Home PVR wirelessly.

My modem is a Home Hub 2000 or a Connection Hub

These modems need an external transmitter to connect wirelessly to the 4K Whole Home PVR. Click on each link to get step-by-step instructions for each task.

  1. Install your wireless transmitter (VAP3400) if we sent one to you.
  2. Once your transmitter is connected, install your 4K Whole Home PVR.
  3. Once everything is installed, pair your 4K Whole Home PVR with your wireless transmitter.
  4. To finish, register your 4K Whole Home PVR wirelessly.

  2. Once the receiver is installed, pair your wireless HD receiver with your Home Hub 4000/Giga Hub.

  1. Install your wireless transmitter (VAP3400) if we sent one to you.
  2. Once your transmitter is connected, install your wireless HD receiver.
  3. Once everything is installed, pair your wireless HD receiver with your wireless transmitter.
  4. To finish, register your wireless HD receiver.

Home Hub 3000 or 4000/Giga Hub

Before following the steps below, please ensure your Bell modem is set up and turned on.

  1. Plug the HDMI cable into the Fibe TV Box.
  2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to your TV.
  3. Connect the power supply to the Fibe TV Box.
  4. Plug the power supply into a power outlet.
  5. Using your TV remote, not the Fibe TV Voice Remote, choose the correct HDMI input on your TV.
  6. Wait for instructions to appear on your TV and follow the steps. Repeat for any additional TVs. This may take up to 5 minutes per TV.

Home Hub 2000 or Connection Hub

If you’re using a Home Hub 2000 or Connection Hub, you may be required to install a wireless transmitter (VAP) in order to use your Fibe TV service.

Before following the steps below, please ensure your Bell modem is set up and turned on.

  1. Install the VAP 3400
    1. Connect the wireless transmitter to the yellow port on your Home Hub 2000 or Connection Hub modem using an Ethernet cable.
    2. Connect the wireless transmitter to a power outlet and turn it on.
    3. Wait at least 4 minutes before moving to the next step.
  2. Install the Fibe TV Box
    1. Connect the Fibe TV Box to a 4K compatible port on your TV using the HDMI cable. See your TV manufacturer’s manual for help finding the 4K compatible port.
    2. Connect the Fibe TV Box to a power outlet.
    3. Turn on your TV and select the appropriate HDMI input.
    4. Wait for instructions to appear on your TV and follow the installation steps. This could take a few minutes.
  3. Pair the Fibe TV Box with the VAP 3400
    1. Once the instructions appear on your TV, press the wireless transmitter’s WPS button. The green light will start blinking.
    2. Within 2 minutes, point the Fibe TV Voice Remote at your Fibe TV Box and press the OK button. The Fibe TV Box will connect and restart. This could take a few minutes
    3. Wait for instructions to appear on your TV and follow the steps to activate the Fibe TV Box. This could take a few minutes.
