Attach the power cord to your external hard-drive and plug it into a wall outlet.

Connect one end of the USB cable that came with your external hard-drive into the hard drive and the other end into the USB port on the receiver.

Note: If the hard-drive is not correctly formatted or has been connected to a different device, you will be asked to reformat it. This will erase all data stored on the hard drive so make sure you have made a back-up of your data.

Navigate to the program you wish to set the timer for, then press SELECT.
