you have the latest security and performance improvements.
In your device settings, you can see the software version you’re running,
check for updates and set up automatic updates (if available).
Before you update
It can take some time to install updates, so make sure your device is:

Charged or plugged in

Connected to Wi-Fi

To check your software version:

Select Apps.

Select Settings.

Scroll to and select System.

Select About phone.

The software version is displayed.
To update your software:

Select Apps.

Select Settings.

Scroll to and select System.

Select About phone.

Select Updates.
The phone will check for updates. If an update is available, wait for it to
download and install.
