Learning about and managing my ZTE smartphone

If your ZTE smartphone becomes unresponsive or doesnʼt perform as expected, you can perform a hard reset.

  1. Before resetting your phone, turn it off and then on again. This may fix some issues. If your phone wonʼt turn off, follow the steps below.
  2. Press and hold the Volume up button, then press the Power button and let go.
  3. Scroll to wipe data/factory reset using the Volume down button.
  4. Press the Power button.
  5. Scroll to Yes -- delete all user data using the Volume down button.
  6. Press the Power button.
  7. The phone will now wipe all contents.
  8. Press the Power button.
  9. The phone will now reboot to the initial setup screen.
You can see how much memory has been used, and how much is available, on your ZTE smartphone.
  1. Touch Apps.
  2. Scroll to and touch Settings.
  3. Scroll to and touch Storage.
  4. The available memory is displayed.
Find the phone number of the SIM card in your ZTE smartphone.
  1. Touch Apps.
  2. Scroll to and Touch Settings.
  3. Scroll to and touch About phone.
  4. Touch Status.
  5. Scroll down to view your phone number.
Follow these steps to insert a SIM card into your ZTE smartphone.
  1. Using your thumb or finger, lift up the back cover using the small notch at the bottom-left of the phone.
  2. If the battery is already in the phone, you need to remove it before inserting the SIM card. Using your thumb or finger, lift up the battery via the small notch at the bottom of the battery compartment.
  3. Insert the SIM card with the metal contacts facing down.
  4. Push the SIM card into the SIM card slot until it clicks into place.
  5. Line up the gold contacts on the battery with the contacts on the phone. Insert the top part of the battery first, then push it into place.
  6. Line up the battery cover hinge with the designated holes inside the phone, then push the cover down until it clicks into place.
