Data plan details
For the Apple iPad and other tablets, Bell offers both a Tablet Flex plan and 30 Day Pass.
To provide a seamless data experience, 30 Day Pass doesn't require a long-term contract and automatically renews every 30 days unless you change or cancel your plan before the end of the 30 days.
Bell also offers an option to share data from your smartphone with your iPad or tablet.

Topping up your data plan right from your iPad or tablet
If you have used all of your data:
If you have used all your data before the end of the 30-day cycle (prior to your auto-renewal date), you will not have access to the Bell high-speed mobile network until you refill your data plan. You will be presented with a choice to purchase another 30 days of the same plan, or you can switch to another plan going forward.
If you have used your allotted data, and you add data or change your data plan today, the following will occur:
- Your credit card will be charged with the price of the data plan today.
- Your 30-day auto-renewal cycle will be reset to today's date, and the previous auto-renewal date will be discontinued.
- You can use your allotted data on the 3G/4G network immediately
If you decide that you do not want to sign up for another plan, your plan will automatically be renewed at the beginning of your next 30-day auto-renewal cycle. Your credit card will be charged one day before your auto-renewal date.
If you still have data available:
If you do not use all of your data within the 30 days, your remaining data will not carry over to the next 30 day period. On the first day of each auto-renewal cycle, your account will reset with the amount of data specified in your plan.
If you add data or change your data plan before the 30 days are up, any remaining data on your current plan will need to be used before the data on your new plan starts.
If you have not used your allotted data, and you add data or change your data plan today, the following will occur:
- Your credit card will be charged with the price of the data plan today.
- The new plan will remain in pending mode until your current data is used up or expired.
- Once the data in your current plan has been depleted, or it expires, the pending plan will become active.
- Your 30-day auto-renewal cycle will be reset to the date that the current data is depleted and the new plan becomes active. The renewal date always starts when the new plan becomes active.
SIM cards
The Apple iPad Air and iPad mini use a nano SIM card. Older generations of iPad use a micro SIM card.
Other tablet devices may vary.
Make sure you determine which SIM card is compatible with your tablet.
An active Bell SIM card is required to access Bell's 4G LTE and HSPA+ networks.
If your Bell SIM card is lost or damaged, any unused data will also be lost. Data cannot be transferred from one Bell SIM card to another.
Roaming
Currently, roaming with a tablet or an iPad is only available with the Tablet Flex plan.
U.S. roaming is already enabled. International roaming can be enabled by contacting us.
Roaming is not available with 30 Day Pass data plans.
Cancelling your iPad or tablet data plan
To cancel a Flex plan, contact Client Care.
If you have purchased a 30 Day Pass plan and want to stop your plan from automatically renewing, follow the steps below.
To cancel your iPad 30 Day Pass data plan:

- Select Add Data or Change Plan.
