How to top up the funds in my prepaid phone account

LIMITED WARRANTY – BATTERY FOR BELL FIBRE EQUIPMENT

Limited Warranty. Bell Canada (including Bell Aliant, a division of Bell Canada) (“Bell”) warrants to you as the original purchaser (“Purchaser” or “you”) the battery purchased for the Fibre Equipment (“Original Battery”) for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase of the Original Battery from Bell (“Warranty Period”) when used in the Fibre Equipment (“Warranty”). “Fibre Equipment” means the Home Hub 3000 modem or UPS (uninterruptible power supply), as applicable, provided by Bell in connection with certain of your Bell services. If the Original Battery fails due to a defect during the Warranty Period, Bell will replace the Original Battery with a new or refurbished battery (“Replacement Battery”). Any warranty coverage that remains during the Warranty Period on the Original Battery (when replaced with a Replacement Battery under this Warranty) will apply to the Replacement Battery. No Replacement Battery has any new or separate warranty coverage. Bell reserves the right to limit the number of Replacement Batteries provided to Purchaser during the Warranty Period.

My Battery Isn’t Working. What Should I Do? Ontario and Québec residents please call Bell at 1 866 310 BELL (2355) and residents of the Atlantic provinces please call 1 866 342-7367, so that Bell can confirm that the Original Battery is within the Warranty Period and attempt to diagnose and correct the malfunction over the telephone. Be sure to keep your proof of purchase to establish the date of purchase of the Original Battery; otherwise Bell may have to estimate the date of purchase.

Limited Warranty Exclusions. This Warranty does not cover any Original Battery or Replacement Battery (each, a Battery) that is:

  • damaged due to: abuse, neglect, misuse, accident, theft, vandalism, force majeure events (e.g. fire, flooding, infestation, freezing, power-surge), overcharging or alteration; improper or unauthorized repair, maintenance, installation, set-up or storage; or accessories, wiring or cabling;
  • merely discharged and can be recharged and returned to service;
  • in Fibre Equipment at a location other than a Bell service address or in a modem or device other than the Fibre Equipment; or
  • not owned by the Purchaser.

Exclusive Warranty. To the extent permitted by applicable law (which may vary province to province) and except where prohibited for Québec residents, this Warranty is exclusive and is in lieu of all other warranties, representations, guarantees, terms and conditions, express and/or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In addition to the rights described in this Warranty, Purchaser may also have other legal rights (which may vary province to province).

Limitation of Liability. To the extent permitted by applicable law and except where prohibited for Quebec residents, Bell's total cumulative maximum liability for negligence, breach of contract, tort or any other claims or causes of action, including fundamental breach, in connection with any Battery or this Warranty is limited to payment, upon request, for actual and direct damages up to a maximum amount equal to the purchase price of the Original Battery, and all other damages, including without limitation indirect, special, consequential, incidental, economic, exemplary or punitive damages, are excluded. You may also be subject to other limitations and exclusions of liability, and obligations, as set out in any Bell terms of service that apply to you. These terms survive the expiry of the Warranty.

Severability; Assignment; Effective Date; Agreement. If any provision of this Warranty is unenforceable, all remaining provisions of this Warranty remain in full force and effect. This Warranty is not assignable by Purchaser. Original Warranty applies only to batteries purchased on or after April 23, 2017 until amended or superceded by Bell. You accept the terms of this Warranty on the earlier of the date you receive a copy or use the Original Battery. If you do not agree with the terms of this Warranty, you have 30 days from the date of your original purchase to return the Original Battery to Bell, unused, for a refund.

Recycling instructions
Bell supports provincial battery recycling programs by remitting Environmental Handling Fees for designated products. For more information about the designated battery types and recycling depot locations, please visit the Call2recycle web-site http://www.call2recycle.ca/.

  1. Log in to My Bell.
  2. Select the My prepaid account tab.
  3. Under Top up options, select Learn about pre-authorized top-ups.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions and select the Automatic Top Up Program.

You can also register by calling #321 from your mobile phone or 1 888 537-9999 from a home phone.

1 If your balance is below $0, your credit card or bank account will be charged the amount required to bring it to $0 as well as the amount required to bring your account balance to your registered amount. Taxes extra. Allow up to 48 hours for funds to be added to your account.

1. Any Prepaid funds which are added to your account on a promotional basis will have an Active Period of 30 calendar days unless otherwise stated and are not restored or extended by top-up. Maintain a positive account balance to ensure uninterrupted service.

The Allowance Program automatically tops up your account by the amount that you've set on a designated day every month. The funds are deducted directly from your bank account or credit card every month, and you don’t have to worry about any unused balance expiring.

Get up to 500 MB of bonus data/month for 12 months when you sign up for Allowance or Automatic Allowance top-up on eligible plans.*

(*) Bonus data available for the first 12 months upon registering for Allowance or Automatic Allowance top-up. Offer available to new customers or existing customers changing their plan after October 16, 2018. The bonus data will be applied to your account monthly after each successful Allowance or Automatic Allowance top-up and total monthly charge (plan and add-ons) payment for each month, so long as your account is in good standing and continues to meet the bonus data requirements. If the bank account or credit card provided cannot be charged or you are no longer registered for Allowance or Automatic Allowance top-up options, the bonus data will not be applied and will be automatically removed from your account. Any unused bonus data expires after 30 days.

Customers who activated before October 16, will retain their 15% pre-authorized top-up bonus as long as they remain on their current plan and are registered for Allowance or Automatic Allowance top-up options. Migrations to new plans will cause loss of the 15% pre-authorized top-up bonus. Customers with this bonus receive an extra 15% of their top-up amount every month that they top up. 15% bonus applies to Allowance portion of Automatic Allowance top-up option. Bonus is valid for 30 days. Unused bonus funds do not carry over.

Top up with a prepaid card

You can buy prepaid cards at Bell stores, or at one of many retail locations.

You must use your prepaid minutes before they expire. However if you add funds to your account before the expiry date, you’ll be able to carry over your unused minutes. Missed a top-up? Top up within seven days following your expiry date and your unused minutes will be restored.

Note: Your card rate will vary depending on your usage and prepaid plan. See all prepaid plans.

To add the funds from your prepaid card to your mobile phone account, call #321 from your mobile phone or 1 888 537-9999 from a home phone for free and follow the instructions provided on the phone.

You can also add funds from your prepaid card to your account online:

  1. Log in to My Bell.
  2. Under My prepaid account, select Top up now.
  3. Select By prepaid card.
  4. Enter the card number and complete the transaction.

You can also add funds from a prepaid card to your account by launching Mobile Browser on your phone and selecting Self Serve. Data charges may apply.

Note that you must use the minutes from your prepaid card before they expire (see the funds expiry chart). However if you add funds to your account before the expiry date, you’ll be able to carry over your unused minutes. If you miss the expiry date, your unused minutes can be restored if you top up within seven days.


Top up with your credit card

The easiest way to use your credit card to add funds to your prepaid phone account is online.

  1. Log in to My Bell.
  2. Under My prepaid account, select Top up now.
  3. Select By credit card.
  4. Choose the top-up amount and complete the transaction.

If you prefer, you can also use your credit card to add funds to your prepaid phone account. Launch Mobile Browser on your phone and select Self Serve (data charges may apply), or call #321 from your mobile phone or 1 888 537-9999 from a home phone for free and follow the instructions.


Express Top Up Program
The Express Top Up Program lets you register your credit card or bank account and add funds to your prepaid phone account whenever you need to. Once you’re registered, simply dial #369 from your mobile phone and enter the PIN provided at registration to add funds to your account.

To register for the Express Top Up Program:

  1. Log in to My Bell.
  2. Select the My top up account tab.
  3. Under Top up options, select Create your express service PIN.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to register to for the Express Top Up Program.
