The Home Hub 1000 is a wireless 2.4 GHz 802.11 n modem and router that has been optimized to provide the best wireless performance. It also has features that help you manage your Internet experience.
You can set up a guest Wi-Fi network for visitors to your home. The guest network only provides access to the Internet. Guests don't have access to the other devices on your network and cannot change your network's settings
To access the settings for your primary Wi-Fi network:
On the Wi-Fi settings page, you can edit the following:
Turning on your Wi-Fi network
to turn your Wi-Fi network on, set the Primary Wi-Fi network near the top of the screen to the ON position.
Network name (SSID) and password
The network name (SSID) is used to identify (or name) your network. When connecting with a device, you will see this name in the list of available Wi-Fi networks. Once your network is selected, you will need to enter its password from the device.
A network name and password are already provided and you will find them on a sticker on the back of the modem. You can also create your own to more easily identify your network.
IMPORTANT: When changing the network name or password, existing Wi-Fi devices will no longer find your network. Each device will need to reconnect to your network using the new settings.
When in the basic view, click the Advanced view button at the top of the screen to access the advanced settings for your primary Wi-Fi network.

To turn on your guest Wi-Fi network:
Note: if you cannot turn on the guest network, you must first turn on the 2.4 GHz primary network above it.
Your guests can now connect to your Wi-Fi network using the network name (SSID) and the password displayed on the home screen.
