Bell MTS offers a variety of Long Distance Plans and the Total Home Phone Package (subject to eligibility) which give you the flexibility to call more often and save money.
If you do not have a Bell MTS long distance plan, the following landline rates apply.

A non-discounted transaction charge* applies in addition to the basic rate charge for each of the following call types:
Automated:
- Credit card: $1.40
- Collect, third number: $2.00
- Sent Paid (from Pay Phones only): $1.50
Operator-assisted:
- Sent paid, third number: $3.00
- Collect: $3.00
- Person-to-Person: $4.25

Registered, certified hearing or speech-impaired discounts
Within Canada, registered or certified hearing- or speech-impaired customers are eligible for a 70% discount on the following types of calls:
- all calls within Canada that originate from and are billed to the residential service of a registered or certified hearing- or speech-impaired TDD (Telecommunication Devices for the Deaf) user.
- all calls within Canada that are routed through or by a message relay centre or service.
- all calls within Canada billed to the calling card of a registered or certified hearing or speech-impaired customer.
- all calls within Canada that are made from dedicated lines used by registered or certified hearing- or speech-impaired TDD users at their place of work and billed to the employer.
- all calls within Canada made from a dedicated line leased by a business to offer TDD services to its customers.
Long distance use FAQs
What is included/not included in Bell MTS' Unlimited Long Distance plans?
- Included: Direct-dialed residential voice calls in Canada and to the U.S.
- Not Included: Chat or party lines, long distance calls made using 3-Way Calling, or multi-party conference calls may be restricted.
Are all types of calling included in unlimited long distance calling?
No. Unlimited long distance calling includes direct-dialed voice calls only. It does not include Calling Card, Internet, or data long distance minutes.
What are "direct-dialed" long distance calls?
Direct-dialed long distance calls are long distance calls you make without operator assistance.
Unlimited long distance includes calling to which countries?
When can I make calls that are considered unlimited?
Please refer to your plan for specific details about times for eligible unlimited long distance calling.
What could be considered excessive long distance calling?
Calls that are not for residential purposes could be considered excessive. Chat or party lines, long distance calls made using 3-Way Calling or multi-party conference calls may be considered excessive.
What could happen if I use the unlimited long distance calling excessively?
Bell MTS may immediately suspend, restrict, alter, or terminate all or part of any service provided to a customer or take other necessary protective measures, if it determines that a customer is using long distance excessively.
