How to pair a wired HD receiver with a Home Hub 3000 wirelessly by using a transmitter

Nova Remote

Steps to follow: 8
  • Disconnect the HPNA coax cable.

Note: If youʼre already using an Ethernet network cable to connect the receiver to the modem, you do not need to follow these steps.
  • Connect one end of the provided Ethernet cable to the wireless transmitter (VAP3400) and the other end to the Network port on the back of the HD receiver.
  • Connect the power cable for the wireless transmitter and power it on.
  • On the wireless transmitter, ensure the top power light is green and bottom light is blue.

If this is not the case, press and hold the Reset button for 30 seconds on the back.
  • On the Home Hub 3000, press the WPS button and hold it for at least 5 seconds until the wireless receiver message and the 5-minute countdown appear on the modem. Proceed to next step before the time expires.

Note: If you press the WPS button for less than 5 seconds, a 2-minute countdown will appear instead. Do not pair the HD receiver; wait for this timer to expire and press the WPS button again for at least 5 seconds.
  • Press the WPS button on the transmitter. The blue light on the bottom will begin to flash.
  • When the Wi-Fi light is solid green on the front of the wireless transmitter, you have successfully paired the wireless transmitter with the Home Hub 3000.
  • Restart your HD receiver to complete the pairing process.

1. Disconnect the HPNA coax cable.

Note: If youʼre already using an Ethernet network cable to connect the receiver to the modem, you do not need to follow these steps.
