Help with Bell Streamer volume

If you’re experiencing volume issues intermittently when watching content with the Bell Streamer, try the steps below.

Control the volume on the Fibe TV app

When watching live TV with the Fibe TV app, make sure you press the Fibe button on the remote. This allows you to control the volume within Fibe TV app.

Check the audio settings

  1. With your Bell Streamer remote, select Settings from the left navigation menu.
  2. Under the Device section, select Settings.
  3. Select Device preferences.
  4. Select Sounds.
  5. Under the Sound menu, select Formats and set it to NONE.

Note: This setting resolves intermittent volume issues but it disables surround sound.

Check the IR pairing

To control your TV’s volume with the Bell Streamer remote, you need to pair your remote using infrared (IR).

Check for a software update

Google system update:

  1. With the Bell Streamer remote, select Settings from the left navigation menu.
  2. Select the Settings tile under the Device section.
  3. Select Device preferences.
  4. Select About.
  5. Select System update.

Fibe TV app update:

  1. Select Apps from the left navigation menu.
  2. Locate the Google Play store and launch it.
  3. Scroll to My apps and see if an update is available for the Fibe TV app (look in the Available row).

Adjust the volume on the Bell Streamer

  1. With your Bell Streamer remote, select Settings from the left navigation menu.
  2. Under the Device section select Volume control.
  3. Use the slider to adjust the volume to the desired level.

Adjust the volume on the TV

Using your TV’s remote control, set the volume to the desired level and make sure the sound is not muted.
