Lock your receiver
To restrict your TV programming, you must lock your receiver and create a password:
- Press MENU on your remote control and select Locks.
- Select Lock System.
- Create a password and select Ok.
- Confirm password and select Ok.

Change your password
If you’ve created a password and would like to change it, please do the following:
- Press MENU on your remote control and select Locks.
- Enter the current password and select Ok.
- Select Change Password.
- Enter the current password and select Ok.
- Enter the new password and select Ok.
- Confirm the new password and select Ok.
Be sure to remember this new password. It will be required to access the parental locks settings and to view any locked channels.

Set locks by channel or by rating
Locks allow you to password-protect programming based on ratings, or on a channel-by-channel basis. To set locks by channel or by rating:
- Press MENU on your remote control and select Locks.
- Enter the password and select Ok.
- Choose Channel Locks or Rating Locks.
- Select the channel or rating you want to lock out.
- A check box will appear to confirm your selection. Select SAVE/DONE.
Ratings overview
- PG (parental guidance): suitable for children over 8, but supervision recommended for those between 8 and 13.
- Over 14: suitable for those over 14.
- Over 18: suitable for adults only.
- NR/AO (no rating/adult oriented): contains graphic language, violence, nudity, adult-oriented profanity or strong sexual content.
Ratings are set by the television programmers.

Hide/show locked channels
You can choose to display locked channels in your programming guide, or to hide them.
To hide locked channels:
- Press MENU on your remote control and select Locks.
- Enter the password and select Ok.
- Select Hide Locked.
To show locked channels:
- Press MENU on your remote control and select Locks.
- Enter the password and select Ok.
- Select Show Locked.

Lock Pay-per-view channels
If you lock Pay-per-view channels, the password will be required to view and order Pay-per-view events.
To lock Pay-per-view channels:
- Press MENU on your remote control and select Locks.
- Enter the password and select Ok.
- Select Lock PPV to lock out all Pay-per-view programs.

Hide/show adult channels
You can choose to display adult channels in your programming guide, or to hide them.
To hide adult channels:
- Press MENU on your remote control and select Locks.
- Enter the password and select Ok.
- Select Hide Adult.
To show adult channels:
- Press MENU on your remote control and select Locks.
- Enter the password and select Ok.
- Select Show Adult.

Unlock your receiver
If you unlock your receiver, all previously locked channels and content will become available to all members of your household. This includes adult content and Pay-per-view channels.
To unlock your receiver:
- Press MENU on your remote control and select Locks.
- Enter the password and select Ok.
- Select Unlock System.
