How to add more email accounts
You can add more email accounts from your BlackBerry smartphone by following these steps:
- From the home screen, select the Email Settings icon (this may also be found in the Setup folder). Or, if your smartphone uses the BlackBerry 6 operating system, select Internet Mail Account.
- If you have a BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) account, you may have to enter your BIS username and password.
- Select Add or Set up another email account.
- Select the domain for the email address to be added.
- Type in the email address and password, and select Next.

About BlackBerry Internet Service
BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) provides access to the email accounts you already have. If you don’t have an email account, or would like an additional one, you can set up a free BlackBerry email account (yourname@bell.blackberry.net).
BIS allows you to send and receive email wirelessly. You'll receive your messages on your BlackBerry smartphone with access to email attachments and images in popular formats, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF and more.

How to set up BlackBerry Internet Service
The best way to set up your BlackBerry smartphone for email is called automatic login. This method allows you to set up email directly from your BlackBerry smartphone, without needing to remember a username or password for your BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) account.
Automatic login creates your BIS account and takes you straight to the email set up page.
If you ever need to change your email settings, simply go to Email Settings and you will have immediate access to your BIS account and options.
To set up automatic login, complete the following steps on your BlackBerry smartphone:
- From the home screen, select the Email Settings icon (this may also be found in the Setup folder). Or, if your smartphone uses the BlackBerry 6 operating system, select Internet Mail Account.
- Review the terms and conditions.
- Select I Accept.
- Select the domain for the email address to be added.
- Type in the email address and password, and select Next.
- Repeat the above steps to set up additional email accounts (maximum of 10).
- If you would like to create a free BlackBerry email address (i.e., username@bell.blackberry.net), select Create New Address and follow the on-screen instructions.

How to access BlackBerry Internet Service
If you are using automatic login, you can access BlackBerry Internet Service by following these steps:
- From the home screen, select the Email Settings icon (this may also be found in the Setup folder). Or, if your smartphone uses the BlackBerry 6 operating system, select Internet Mail Account.
- Press the menu key to access options for editing your email accounts and setting up email filters to organize incoming mail.
If you are using a BlackBerry Internet Service login, you can access your email settings at bell.blackberry.com.

How to recover a lost username or password for BlackBerry Internet Service
If you have forgotten your BlackBerry Internet Service password, you can use the password recovery option on your smartphone:
- From the home screen, select the Email Settings icon (this may also be found in the Setup folder). Or, if your smartphone uses the BlackBerry 6 operating system, select Internet Mail Account.
- Select Forgot Password.
Alternatively, you can visit bell.blackberry.com, click Forgot Password? and fill in the requested information. A message containing your new password will be sent to your BlackBerry smartphone.
