How to use Conference Calling on my mobile phone
What is Conference Calling?
Conference Calling lets you add several people to a mobile phone call. You can connect the other callers at the start of your call, or add people to a call that’s already in progress.
This feature is included with all Bell Mobility rate plans.
Note that airtime charges apply to all calls when you use Conference Calling.

Making a conference call
The steps for making a conference call are different depending on which Bell Mobility network your phone or smartphone uses.
Do you know which network your device uses?
- HSPA/UMTS
- EVDO/1XRTT
- Don't know
HSPA/UMTS
- Connect up to five people by dialling the first number and then pressing SEND. Wait until the person answers.
- Use the on-screen menu and select Options or Add Caller and then dial the second person.
- Once the second person has answered, repeat the second step to add up to five people.
EVDO/1XRTT
- Connect three people by dialling the first number and then pressing SEND. Wait until the person answers.
- Press SEND to place the first caller on hold. Wait for a dial tone.
- Dial the second number and press SEND. Wait until the second person answers.
- Press SEND again to connect all three people.

Adding someone to a call already in progress
The steps for adding someone to a conference call are different depending on which Bell Mobility network your phone or smartphone uses.
Do you know which network your device uses?
- HSPA/UMTS
- EVDO/1XRTT
- Don't know
HSPA/UMTS
- Once you have one person on the line, use the on-screen menu and select Options or Add Caller, then dial the second person.
- Once the second person has answered, you can repeat step 1 to add up to three more people. The maximum is you plus five other people.
EVDO/1XRTT
- Once you have one person on the line, press SEND to place the first caller on hold. Wait for a dial tone.
- Dial the second number and press SEND. Wait until the second person answers.
- Press SEND again to connect all three people.

Disconnecting a conference call
The steps for disconnecting a conference call are different depending on which Bell Mobility network your phone or smartphone uses.
Do you know which network your device uses?
- HSPA/UMTS
- EVDO/1XRTT
- Don't know
HSPA/UMTS
Press END to terminate the conference call.
Note: If anyone hangs up before the conference call ends, the conference call will continue with the people who remain.
EVDO/1XRTT
1.To disconnect the second party only, press SEND.
2.To disconnect both calls at once, press END.
