How to use whole home PVR

What is a Whole Home PVR?

The Whole Home PVR provides PVR functionality to all the HD receivers in your home. This means that you can watch and play back recorded programs from any connected television.

You can also record up to four shows at once and store up to 100 hours of HD content.

What equipment is required?

You'll need a HD PVR for your main TV and a compatible HD receiver for each additional TV in your home

Note: you can connect up to five additional receivers.

How do I record a program that is currently playing?

To record a program that is already in progress, follow these simple steps:

1. On any receiver in your home, tune to the program you want to record or, use the Guide to select your program.

   

2. Press the Record button on the remote control to start recording your program. If you're using the Guide, a confirmation message will appear at the bottom of your screen confirming that the program has started recording.
3. To stop a recording at any time, press the Stop button. If you're using the Guide, a confirmation message will appear at the bottom on your screen to confirm.

How do I schedule a recording for a specific time?

1. On any receiver in your home, press the Guide button on the remote control. Or use the Search feature to find the program you would like to record.

   

2. Once you have found the program you are looking for press Select. A confirmation screen will appear, giving you a description of the show you selected and three recording options on the left hand side:
   
   
   
   Record episode
   Choose this option to record a single episode.
   Record series
   -Choose this option to record an entire series of the program. Once you have selected this option, you can then determine the frequency of your recording.
   More showtimes
   -Choose this option to see all available showtimes for your selected program. This can help you manage multiple recordings.
   
   

3. To cancel a recording, scroll to the program you have scheduled to record, and press the Record button three times.

How do I watch a recorded program?

To watch your recorded TV shows and movies from different rooms, follow these simple steps:

1. Press the Recordings button on the remote control for any receiver in your home and the recordings screen will appear.

   

   

2. Select the show or movie you want to watch and press Select.

   

3. Press Play to start the show or to resume where you left off.
