What is a “digital service fee”?
Bell Satellite TV makes significant technological investments every year. These investments can include new satellites, new HD channels, equipment development and other technology upgrades that add to our customers’ options and enjoyment.
The digital service fee (DSF) is charged Bell Satellite TV to our customers every month to help recover these costs. The digital service fee helps us remain competitive and bring more value and entertainment into your home.
Customers with All-in-One (rental) contracts from Bell Satellite TV pay a digital service fee because the monthly price covers hardware and programming charges only.

What is an “early termination fee”?
Bell Satellite TV sometimes makes promotional offers such as free installation or discounted programming. These are offered as incentives for customers to commit to term contracts. If you cancel your Bell Satellite TV service before the end of a contract, you will be charged an early termination fee (ETF) to cover some of the costs we incurred as part of the promotion. These costs may include satellite installation costs, any promotional credits or offers given, administrative costs, set-top box retrieval, etc.
The amount of the early termination fee will depend on certain factors, for example, how much time is left in your contract and the number of rental receivers on your account. However, if you need to cancel your contract due to circumstances out of your control (e.g., satellite TV not being allowed at your new residence), the early termination fee will be waived or credited.
