Connect with a HomePlug network adapter

- Connect one end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the HomePlug adapter.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to an available Ethernet port on your router or home networking modem.
- Plug the HomePlug adapter directly into an electrical wall outlet.
- Your receiver will automatically find the router and connect to the Internet. A steady green light and blinking yellow light on the back of the receiver indicate that you have a connection.
Important
Make sure that both the receiver and the HomePlug adapter are plugged directly into an electrical wall outlet. Do not plug them into a power bar, for example, or the Internet connection will not work.
Note: The grey-coloured HD PVR model 9200 is not compatible with the Remote PVR feature. You cannot connect it to the Internet through an Ethernet or a HomePlug connection.

Connect your HD PVR to the Internet
Connect your receiver to the Internet and you can enjoy additional features of Remote PVR such as:
- Tracking PVR disk space
- Setting recording priorities and managing conflicts
- Reviewing all recordings and deleting recordings to make space
- Reviewing and editing details of upcoming recordings
- Using a mobile phone or computer as a remote control
You can connect your HD PVR receiver to the Internet using either an Ethernet cable or a HomePlug network adapter. Use the Ethernet cable if your receiver is relatively close to an Ethernet port. If your receiver is far from an Ethernet port, a HomePlug network adapter will let you use the power lines in your home to make the connection between your receiver and your router.
Note: The grey-coloured HD PVR model 9200 is not compatible with the Remote PVR feature. You cannot connect it to the Internet through an Ethernet or a HomePlug connection.

What you need to connect
- High speed Internet access: You must have a broadband connection to use Remote PVR. A minimum speed of 256 Kbps is recommended.
- A router or home networking modem with an available Ethernet port
- Ethernet cable
- HomePlug network adapter (optional)
If your PVR isn’t close to an Ethernet port, you can use a HomePlug network adapter to connect to the Internet. You can purchase one in the Bell Home Connect Kit (including HomePlug adapter, Ethernet cable, and instructions), available online or at a Bell store. Bell’s Home Connect Kit is designed and tested for use with Bell Satellite TV receivers.
You can buy other HomePlug adapters at consumer electronics retailers. However, Bell Satellite TV does not support these devices, and you may have to configure them to work with your Bell Satellite TV receiver. These devices are usually sold in pairs, but you need only one to connect your receiver to the Internet. We recommend that you use a Bell Home Connect Kit with Remote PVR.
