Why do I have to keep my phone line connected to my Bell Satellite TV receiver?

To get the most out of your Bell Satellite TV service, you should connect each receiver to the phone line associated with your Bell Satellite TV account.

Connecting a phone line to your Bell Satellite TV receiver lets you:

  • See who’s calling right from your TV screen (requires a subscription to Caller ID with your home phone service provider)1,2
  • Order Pay-per-view and On Demand programming with your remote3
  • Buy additional channels and interactive games from your TV2

 

1Requires a subscription to Caller ID with your home phone service provider.

2Not compatible with receiver models 1000, 2700, 3500, 3700, 4500, 4700 or 6000.

3On Demand programming is only available on models 9241, 9242 and 9400.
