This error is due to incompatible firmware on the Blackberry Curve and World devices. Please take the following steps to upgrade your firmware:
- Using your computer’s Internet browser, visit the BlackBerry download site.
- In the North America section at the bottom of the page, select Bell Mobility Inc.
- Select your BlackBerry model from the drop-down list and click on Next.
- Click the download link for the latest software version.
- Fill out the form and click Next to start downloading.
- Once the download is complete, run the downloaded file.
- Launch BlackBerry Desktop Manager and connect your BlackBerry to your computer.
- Follow instructions on the computer to install the firmware on your smartphone.
