How to use your Bell Satellite TV Electronic Programming Guide (EPG)
Navigating the Program Guide
In addition to using the up/down/left/right arrows, the following tips will help you quickly navigate through the Program Guide.
To move forward in the guide by days at a time:
- Press GUIDE on your remote control to display the guide.
- Press SKIP FWD to move 1 day forward in the guide, and press SKIP BACK to move one day backward.
- Press SKIP FWD or SKIP BACK multiple times to move multiple days.
To move forward or backward by a set number of hours:
- Press GUIDE on your remote control to display the guide.
- Use the number pad to enter the number of hours you'd like to skip forward, then press the right arrow immediately (I.e. to see what's coming on in 8 hours, press the number 8 followed by the right arrow button).
- To move backward in the guide, use the number pad to enter the number of hours followed by the left arrow button.

Changing the order of channels in the Program Guide
You can choose to display channels in either ascending (highest channel at the top) or descending (highest channel at the bottom) order.
To change the channel order to either ascending or descending order:
- Press Menu on your remote control.
- Select Preferences.
- Select Channel Order.
- Select either Ascending or Descending.
Select Done.

Changing the layout of the Program Guide
There are several different layouts for the Program Guide, including with or without a video window. To change the layout of your Program Guide:
- Press Menu on your remote.
- Select Preferences.
- Select Guide display.
- Choose from the list of Guide Display Options (see detailed descriptions below).

- Select Done.
Detailed Guide Display Options:
Standard - Partial Guide with Video
- Video: Video is displayed in the upper right corner
- Guide Layout: 1.5 hours of programming, 5 channels displayed at once
- Text: Regular text size
This is the default setting when your receiver is first set up or reset to factory defaults.
Enhanced - Partial Guide with Video
- Video: Video is displayed in the upper right corner
- Guide Layout: 1 hour of programming, 4 channels displayed at once
- Text: Large text size
This setting makes the text in the guide larger for easier viewing.
Extended - Partial Guide with Video
- Video: Video is displayed in the upper right corner
- Guide Layout: 3 hours of programming, 7 channels displayed at once
- Text: Smaller text size
This setting lets you see the most programming information while still watching video.
Standard - Full Guide without Video.
- Video: No video displayed (2 additional channels are displayed instead of the video window)
- Guide Layout: 1.5 hours of programming, 7 channels displayed at once
- Text: Regular text size
Enhanced - Full Guide without Video
- Video: No video displayed (2 additional channels are displayed instead of the video window)
- Guide Layout: 1 hour of programming, 6 channels displayed at once
- Text: Large text size
Extended - Full Guide without Video
- Video: No video displayed (2 additional channels are displayed instead of the video window)
- Guide Layout: 3 hours of programming, 9 channels displayed at once

About favourites lists and how to customize them
Your Bell Satellite TV receiver comes with three preset favourites lists and 4 customizable favourites lists.
The three preset lists are:
- All Chan – Shows all channels including those you don’t subscribe to (channels you don’t subscribe to will appear in pink or another distinct color)
- All Sub – Shows the channels you subscribe to as well as available Pay-per-view channels
- All HD – Shows all high definition channels, including those you don’t subscribe to
To modify one of your customizable favourites lists:
- Press Menu on your remote control.
- Select Preferences.
- Select Favourites.
- Move to the left, choose the list you wish to customize, and then press SELECT.
- Select Modify List.
- Move to the left hand side of the screen and select all the channels you wish to display in this favourites list.
- Select Done when you’ve completed your selections.

Naming a customized favourites list
To change the name of a customized favourites list:
- Press Menu on your remote control.
- Select Preferences.
- Select Favourites.
- Move to the left, choose the list you wish to customize, and then press SELECT.
- Select Edit Name.
- An on-screen keyboard will appear. Use it to enter a name for your list.
Select Done.

Choosing favourites list display options
There are two options for displaying and navigating your favourites lists .
Guide button mode: Lets you cycle through your favourites lists while viewing the Program Guide. Simply press GUIDE on your remote control to switch between lists.

Guide popup mode: Pressing GUIDE multiple times brings up the Favourites List popup. Switch between lists using the GUIDE button or up/down arrow buttons.

To switch between modes:
- Press Menu on your remote control.
- Select Preferences.
- Select Favourites.
- Under Guide Selection, choose either Guide Popup or Guide Button.
- Select Done.
