Models 9200, 9241, 9242 and 5200
HD PVR Plus models 9200, 9241 and 9242, and PVR model 5200 allow you to record two programs simultaneously while watching a third program that you’ve previously recorded. Except for model 9241, your receiver must be operating in single mode.
To record a program and watch something else at the same time, do the following:
- Press the record button on you remote control while watching the program you wish to record. This allows you to record the program or create recurring timers.
- After you have started recording your program, simply press the up or down arrows on your remote to change channels, or choose another program from the guide.
Models 5100, 5800 and 5900
PVR models 5100, 5800 and 5900 do not allow you to record two programs simultaneously. However, they allow you to record a live program and play back another program that you have previously recorded.
To record a program and watch something else at the same time, do the following:
- Press the record button on you remote control while watching the program you wish to record. This allows you to record the program or create recurring timers.
- After you have started recording your program, simply press the PVR button on your remote once and select the pre-recorded program that you want to watch.
