How to make sure I am getting On Demand programming

To ensure you are receiving the latest On Demand programming, please turn off your receiver when it is not in use. While your receiver is in standby (turned off), the latest On Demand programming is updated onto your programming guide. Your receiver automatically goes into standby mode if inactive for four hours.
