Data roaming costs
You can use Remote PVR on your smartphone from anywhere in Canada or the world. Data roaming within Canada is included in your regular rate plan. Roaming in the United States or internationally is charged per kilobyte on top of your rate plan.
Learn more about data roaming charges in the United States or overseas.
On average, Remote PVR uses less than 1 MB per session. If you do not have an unlimited data plan, we recommend any Voice and Data plan with 500 MB of data or more for use in Canada. We also offer features that can help reduce the cost of data roaming in the United States.
Note: Data roaming charges can add up quite quickly. We recommend you do not use data-intensive applications such as surfing the Web, video streaming or downloading large email attachments while outside of Canada
