In order to use your Samsung Ace World Edition smartphone when travelling to other countries, you may need to change the type of network the phone uses.
In Canada, your Samsung Ace uses a CDMA network, but many countries overseas use a GSM network. The smartphone cannot be in both CDMA and GSM at the same time.
To use your phone overseas, first look up your phone and the country you’re travelling to in our international coverage section. This will tell you what network is used in the country you’re visiting.
Next, ensure the SIM card is inserted in your smartphone. It won’t function in GSM mode without it.
Then when you’re overseas, follow the instructions in the section Changing network modes.
Tip: Your Samsung Ace World Edition smartphone has an International Roaming Guide built right in to help you when you’re travelling.
