You can update the software on your Motorola Atrix 4G superphone:
- Over the air using a MotoBlur account
- Manually by installing the software on your computer
- Before updating your software, please make sure your smartphone is fully charged.
- You will not be able to use your smartphone during the update.
- To avoid possible data charges, we recommend that you use a Wi-Fi connection to download the update. Please remain connected to Wi-Fi until the download completes.
- Your device settings and information will not be affected by the update.
To update the software on a MOTOROLA ATRIX 4G superphone:
You will be notified automatically when new software is available. An icon will appear in the notification bar at the top of the screen, prompting you to update.
To start the software update:
- Select Download.
- After the software is downloaded, select Install now.
- After the software is installed, your smartphone will restart automatically.
- Your smartphone is now updated.
You can also check for updates manually:
- In the main menu, select the Settings icon.
- Select About phone > System updates. If an update isn't available, you'll be notified. Otherwise, proceed with the steps below.
- Select Download.
- After the software is downloaded, select Install now.
- After the software is installed, your smartphone will restart automatically.
- Your smartphone is now updated.
